Budget for Chayl Masorti volunteers

Masorti Olami needs to cover the travel expenses and living expenses of our volunteers. The community participates in the costs of the volunteers whenever possible.

Chayl Masorti Volunteers Needed for 2003-2004 (5764):

Wroclaw, Poland
Budget: $10,000 for the year for two volunteers

Berlin, Germany
Budget: $15,000 for the year for two volunteers

Madrid, Spain
Budget: $15,000 for the year for two volunteers

South America
Budget: $20,000 for the year for two volunteers (includes flights throughout South America and transportation to and from Israel)

 


CHAYL MASORTI


Chayl Masorti, the Masorti Youth Corps is a program that sends dedicated knowledgeable Masorti young adults to work in our Jewish communities around the world. The volunteers help to build and strengthen the kehillot.

The volunteers develop religious, educational, cultural and social programs in the community. They help to strengthen Jewish identity, build ties to Israel and develop and train local leadership.



Who are our Chayl Masorti volunteers?

Our volunteers have a strong knowledge of Masorti Judaism and are committed to the Jewish community.
They have a strong background in Jewish history, Judaism and Zionism.

Chayl Masorti volunteers have experience in formal and informal education, activity programming, community service and synagogue skills.

To date, we have had Chayl Masorti volunteers who have served in England, Prague, Australia and Spain. There are additional communities that have requested Chayl Masorti volunteers for next year.
